Surigao City 3-day-Itinerary

Majority of the itineraries we find online for Surigao is actually for Surigao del Sur.  Tinuy-an Falls, Enchanted River and Sohoton Cove are all found in Surigao del Sur. This natural wonders may be over powering and are best for those who are adventurous at heart. But there are also travelers who are art and nature lovers. Those that doesn’t need much adrenaline rush, those that prefer just within the city tour.

This itinerary is for those who are not that adventurous but wants to learn new things and visit new places. We have prepared an itinerary that is not much of physical activity. Let’s see what we can do for 3 days and 2 nights in Surigao City.

Day 1

You can start with visiting the museums like the Rock and Mineral Museum, Surigaonon Arts Mini-Museum, and Battle of Surigao Strait Museum. Then you can end the day with a visit at the Luneta Park.

You can go shop for groceries for Day 2 activities.

Day 2

The most exciting day is day 2. You can go island hopping, caving or mangrove forest exploration. You can then go to Brgy Zaragoza and be amazed with the  Zaragoza rock formations. You can  swim and stroll at the white beach of Sibale Beach. Or be blown away with Mabua Pebble Beach. You may also visit Alingkakajaw Island and Sagisi Island.

For Mangrove Forests you can go to Manjagao Mangrove Forest and Day-asan Floating Village. The Mangrove Forest are explored using a paddle boat or a motorized boat from the mainland Surigao City. It may take you 30 to an hour boat ride to reach the destination.

If you prefer to go caving,  you can visit Mapawa cave or Buenavista Cave in Hikdop Island.

Day 3 

Before leaving the City of Island Adventures make sure you visit the Surigao Pasalubong shops and take home Surigao’s delicacies. If you are not sure what to delicacies would that be, you can check out the list we have here.
