Tagum City is the capital of the province of Davao del Norte located 55 kilometers north of Davao City.  It was officially created into a first-class component city on March 7, 1998. The City is considered a significant trading and commercial hub, recognized for its rapid transformation as a small yet exceptional urban center inspired by exemplary governance and a harmonious lifestyle lived by its locals.

As one of the leading business centers and bustling metropolis in Mindanao, it is expected that there is an increase in the influx of visitors to Tagum City. Here’s how to get there:

By Air

Fly to Francisco Bangoy International Airport (or Davao International Airport), located approximately  51 kilometers south of Tagum City. There are daily flights to and from major cities in the Philippines and weekly flights to Singapore and Manado, Indonesia.

The airport is 1- to 1.5-hour ride from Tagum City. Upon arrival at the airport, metered taxicabs are available and flag down rate is P30 (~0.64 USD) for units with aircon.  The taxicabs or PUBs will take you to the bus terminals located at Ecoland, Davao City and from there different kinds of buses and vans will take you to Tagum City.

By Sea

The nearest seaport is Davao International Seaport (Sasa Wharf), located approximately 51 kilometers south of Tagum City. There are ferries that travel from Manila to Davao with a 2-day travel time. There are also routes going to and from the various islands of the country, including Cebu, Iloilo, and Zamboanga.

Travel time from Sasa Wharf to Tagum is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes via private or public transport.

By Land

Tagum City can be reached by land boarding Philtranco Bus from Pasay City via Bicol Region then to Samar, Leyte. From Leyte, the bus will board a ferry boat to Surigao City then to Butuan City and to San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
