Filipinohomes trained Bacolod agents in property management, guiding them toward Rent Manager certification through the Rent.ph platform amid a growing local rental market.
BACOLOD CITY – Filipinohomes, the country’s largest real estate network, held a Property Rental Training session in Bacolod, equipping agents with skills to become certified Rent Managers through the Rent.ph platform. The training marked another step in professionalizing property management across the country.
A Hands‑On Session for Serious Growth
Agents gathered in a focused workshop covering every stage of the rental management cycle. They learned to screen tenants thoroughly by verifying income and rental history, which minimizes risk for property owners. The session also covered drafting lease agreements that comply with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development regulations.
Pricing strategies were a core part of the curriculum, with agents trained to use market data to set competitive rates. Maintenance coordination was also discussed, including how to develop preventative schedules and handle requests efficiently. The hands‑on approach gave participants confidence to manage properties from tenant placement to turnover.
At the center of the training is the Rent Manager Program, a free online course that has already produced over 900 graduates nationwide. Participants must complete two webinars and pass an online examination to earn their digital Certificate of Accreditation. Once certified, they become official Rent Manager Specialists authorized to oversee properties on behalf of owners.
The program provides a structured career path for agents who want to focus on leasing. Graduates gain access to a network of support through Rent.ph, including digital tools for listing, booking, and payment processing. The certification signals to clients that the agent operates with industry‑recognized standards.
A significant portion of the training focused on technology. Agents explored the Rent.ph platform’s full suite, learning how to list properties, track bookings, and communicate with tenants in real time. The platform consolidates management tasks into one dashboard, making it easier to handle multiple units.
The session also addressed short‑term rental opportunities, such as optimizing listings for platforms like Airbnb. Agents practiced adjusting nightly rates during peak travel seasons to maximize returns for owners. The message was clear: technology turns a part‑time rental effort into a professional, cash‑flowing asset.
Bacolod’s property market is expanding rapidly, driven by major township developments like PHINMA’s Maayo Terraces and new residential projects. Colliers Philippines has expanded its property management services in the city, signaling growing demand for professional oversight. As more condominiums and subdivisions are completed, owners need skilled managers to handle tenant placement and maintenance.
Improved airport connectivity is also boosting tourism and short‑term rental demand. The Bacolod‑Silay Airport is among those being considered for public‑private partnership upgrades. These factors create a strong need for certified rent managers who can serve both long‑term tenants and vacation guests.
The July training in Bacolod is part of a broader network‑wide push that has already seen successful masterclasses in Palawan and Manila. Filipinohomes continues to invest in its people, ensuring that agents are not just salespeople but complete real estate professionals. With Rent.ph’s ecosystem behind them, newly trained agents are poised to capture a growing share of Bacolod’s rental market.
