A record 300 attendees gathered at Ayala Malls Capitol Central on May 6, 2026, for Filipinohomes’ “Build Wealth in Real Estate” seminar. Founder Anthony Leuterio led the session as Bacolod’s residential market heats up with SMDC’s 1,100‑unit turnover and the Panaad Festival’s record ₱29.4‑million sales.

BACOLOD CITY – The 4th floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central’s Ayala Central Hall was filled to capacity on May 6, 2026, as 300 aspiring real estate professionals attended a “Build Wealth in Real Estate: Essential Strategies for Beginners” seminar led by Filipinohomes founder and CEO Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio. The event, which began at 1:30 PM, marked the largest new‑agent turnout in the city since the network began its Western Visayas expansion earlier this year.
A packed house for beginner training
The hours session covered prospecting techniques, client handling, digital marketing tools, and a step‑by‑step roadmap for earning a first six‑figure commission. Leuterio, a 2024 International Realtor of the Year, shared insights from building Filipinohomes into the country’s largest real estate network, now with over 35,000 agents nationwide. The event also featured a live demonstration of the network’s national multi‑listing platform and a Q&A segment on overcoming common fears for beginners.
The May 6 seminar follows a series of Filipinohomes events in Bacolod in the past two weeks. On April 23, Team Red Diamonds held a contract signing at the network’s Bacolod office. On May 5, Leuterio received a rousing evening welcome from a large entourage of Bacolod agents, followed by a team leaders and unit managers meeting and separate strategic talks with Suntrust Properties Inc. regarding its La Sonrisa community inside Megaworld’s P8‑billion “The Sugartown” township. On May 6, the network also opened its 142nd office in Bacolod at Corner Burgos‑Lacson Street. The back‑to‑back events reflect Filipinohomes’ aggressive build‑up of its sales force in Negros Occidental.
The strong turnout aligns with Bacolod’s accelerating property market. SM Development Corp. (SMDC) is in the process of turning over approximately 1,100 units at Smile Residences within SM City Bacolod, with deliveries scheduled mid‑2026. PHINMA Properties is advancing Saludad, a 21‑hectare master‑planned community in the North District, which includes residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, and the TRYP by Wyndham Bacolod hotel. Affordable housing is also expanding: the National Housing Authority turned over the first 104 units of MassKara Village in Barangay Sum‑ag on March 24, 2026, with 500 two‑storey duplex units planned.
Tourism continues to bolster the local economy. The 30th Panaad sa Negros Festival (April 13‑19, 2026) generated ₱29.42 million in sales – a 47 percent increase from 2025 – and drew a record 45,000 visitors on its final day. Looking ahead, the MassKara Festival in October is expected to draw even larger crowds, driving short‑term rental demand and investor interest.
The national government has allocated ₱7.8 billion to modernize 21 airports under the 2026 budget, with the Bacolod‑Silay Airport among those being considered for public‑private partnership development. Improved airport connectivity would further raise the appeal of townships like “The Sugartown,” where Suntrust’s La Sonrisa is under construction. The city’s economy grew by 4.9 percent in 2025, with a GDP of ₱146.09 billion, while business permit renewal revenues reached ₱376 million in early 2026.
Graduates of the orientation will be paired with unit managers for hands‑on field training and will receive access to Filipinohomes’ national property database and developer partners such as Suntrust, SMDC, and PHINMA Properties. With residential deliveries accelerating, festivals driving tourism, and infrastructure projects advancing, the May 6 seminar positions a large batch of new agents to help meet rising demand for quality housing in Negros Occidental, backed by the full resources of the country’s largest real estate network.
