A large entourage of Bacolod agents and branch staff welcomed Filipinohomes founder Anthony Leuterio on the evening of May 5, 2026, capping a day that began with a strategic Iloilo meeting and a packed beginner seminar. The reception highlighted Bacolod’s booming residential market, where SMDC is turning over 1,100 units and MassKara Village adds affordable homes.
BACOLOD CITY – On the evening of May 5, 2026, Filipinohomes founder and CEO Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio received a spirited welcome from a large entourage of Bacolod agents and branch staff, capping a day that had already included a strategic housing meeting in Iloilo and a sold‑out beginner wealth seminar. The reception, held at the Filipinohomes Bacolod office, underscored the strong bond between the network’s leadership and its growing sales force in Negros Occidental.
A day of back‑to‑back engagements
Leuterio’s May 5 itinerary began in Iloilo City, where he met with Eon Realty COO Bernadette Tiu for strategic housing talks. He then led a “Build Wealth in Real Estate” seminar at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel, which filled every seat. By late afternoon, he traveled across the strait to Bacolod, where the evening welcome awaited.
The Bacolod branch has been one of Filipinohomes’ fastest‑growing provincial hubs. Agents and team leaders have consistently participated in product knowledge seminars, new agent orientations, and contract signings throughout April. The May 5 reception served both as a morale booster and a brief alignment session before the CEO’s next round of activities in the city.
The enthusiastic welcome comes as Bacolod’s real estate market continues to post strong fundamentals. SM Development Corp. (SMDC) is in the process of turning over approximately 1,100 units at Smile Residences within SM City Bacolod, with deliveries scheduled mid‑2026. The company is also developing Parkville, a residential community in Barangay Granada that will feature 2,394 lots, supported by a four‑lane elevated bridge providing direct access to Burgos Avenue.
Affordable housing is also expanding. The National Housing Authority turned over the first 104 units of MassKara Village in Barangay Sum‑ag on March 24, 2026. The 7.3‑hectare socialized housing development will have 500 two‑storey duplex units, each with an 80‑square‑meter lot and 60‑square‑meter floor area, available through Pag‑IBIG financing with monthly amortizations as low as ₱15,000 over a 30‑year term.
On the infrastructure front, the Bacolod‑Silay Airport is among the gateways being considered for public‑private partnership development. The national government has allocated ₱7.8 billion to modernize 21 airports under the 2026 budget, which could improve connectivity and boost property values around the airport corridor.
The city’s economy grew by 4.9 percent in 2025, with a GDP of ₱146.09 billion. Business permit renewal revenues reached ₱376 million in early 2026, a significant increase from the previous year. The recent 30th Panaad sa Negros Festival (April 13‑19, 2026) generated ₱29.42 million in sales – a 47 percent increase from 2025 – and drew a record 45,000 visitors on its final day. Looking ahead, the MassKara Festival in October remains a major draw, with events scheduled at the Bacolod Public Plaza, Lacson Tourism Strip, and Bacolod City Government Center grounds.
During the evening welcome, Leuterio briefly addressed the assembled team, thanking them for their hard work throughout April. He commended the Bacolod branch for its consistent performance in agent recruitment and sales, and encouraged everyone to maintain the momentum into May and beyond. Unit managers used the gathering to introduce new recruits and to discuss upcoming product knowledge sessions with developer partners such as WeeComm and PHINMA Properties.
For the Bacolod agents who lined up to greet their CEO, the May 5 reception was both a celebration of past achievements and a launchpad for the weeks ahead. With residential deliveries accelerating, infrastructure projects advancing, and festival season on the horizon, the Bacolod team is well positioned to help meet the rising demand for quality housing in Negros Occidental, backed by the full resources of the country’s largest real estate network.
