Boss Michael and Mary Antonette Lasala lead Filipinohomes’ 141st franchise office as the network builds a stronger footprint in the fast-rising capital of South Cotabato. The expansion comes as Koronadal City earns ₱120 million in DPWH funding, secures ₱55 million for school buildings, and gains five farm-to-market roads plus a modular cold storage facility.
KORONADAL CITY – Filipinohomes has reached another significant milestone with the opening of its 141st franchise office in the regional capital of South Cotabato. The new branch, located in Koronadal City, is led by husband-and-wife team Boss Michael and Mary Antonette Lasala, who have been instrumental in strengthening the network’s presence across Soccsksargen.
The 141st office marks the brand’s first dedicated franchise in the capital of the province widely recognized as the “Sports and Cultural Capital of the South.” Koronadal City has been steadily building a reputation as one of Mindanao’s most livable and business‑friendly urban centers. The city is officially classified as a first‑class component city and serves as the regional administrative center of Soccsksargen (Region XII). The local government has consistently implemented pro‑business policies, earning the city recognition historically as the “Most Business Friendly City in Mindanao.”
Building momentum in the regional capital
The new branch becomes operational as the city benefits from a wave of public investment. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has allocated ₱120 million under its 2026 Annual Investment Plan to complete a multi‑purpose gymnasium at the back of the city hall building. The facility is expected to serve as a hub for local sports and community events, adding to the city’s stock of modern public infrastructure.
On the education front, the provincial government has secured ₱55 million from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) for the construction of a three‑storey, 12‑classroom school building in the city. Educational infrastructure of this scale typically spurs residential demand in surrounding neighborhoods, as families seek to shorten commutes and secure better schooling options for their children.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has also been validating and assessing beneficiary programs within the city, while local authorities continue to push for efficient road‑concreting projects to ensure durability and value for public money.
Outside the city center, South Cotabato is upgrading its rural road network. Four farm‑to‑market roads (FMRs) have been allocated for Koronadal City as part of a province‑wide infrastructure push in 2026. The projects are designed to improve access for agricultural communities, enhance the movement of goods, and stimulate economic activity along key corridors. Such connectivity projects often make adjacent land parcels more attractive for residential and commercial development over the medium term, providing potential opportunities for the new franchise’s agent network.
The city’s commercial infrastructure is also being modernized. A modular cold storage facility is being constructed at the Koronadal City Satellite Market, a project that officially broke ground in March 2026. The facility is expected to help local farmers and vendors preserve produce, reduce post‑harvest losses, and stabilize daily market operations. A modernized trading environment often has a positive knock‑on effect on nearby property values, as a more vibrant commercial zone draws foot traffic and business activity.
The 141st franchise adds to the network’s rapidly expanding presence across Mindanao, complementing other recent openings in Cagayan de Oro, Davao City, General Santos City and Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. The Koronadal branch comes online after a busy month of contract signings, new agent orientations and product knowledge seminars throughout the network’s provincial hubs.
For the Lasala team, the new office will serve as a base from which to recruit, train and support real estate professionals who operate across South Cotabato and the wider Soccsksargen region. Agents affiliated with the branch gain access to Filipinohomes’ national multi‑listing platform, developer relationships and nationwide referral network.
With its combination of first‑class city status, steady infrastructure inflows and recognized business‑friendly environment, Koronadal City offers a supportive environment for the long‑term expansion of the network’s 141st office.
The Lasala team has already begun onboarding its initial batch of unit managers and salespersons, with the branch set to hold its first new‑agent orientation in the coming weeks. As public works continue and agricultural connectivity improves, the new office intends to help meet the rising local demand for residential lots, affordable housing and rental properties in one of Mindanao’s fastest‑developing capital cities.
