Filipinohomes Starter kit Training in Bacolod: New Agents ready as City Hosts PRISAA Games, Weekend Market Crowds
Updated May 9, 2026

Filipinohomes conducted a starter kit session for new recruits on May 9, 2026, at the LR Bacolod – The Row office. The training, which tackled accreditation requirements and digital sales tools, serves as a prerequisite for network membership as Bacolod hosts the PRISAA Games and advances Pasalidahon weekend market and guided heritage tours.
BACOLOD CITY – Filipinohomes held a starter kit training session for newly recruited real estate professionals on May 9, 2026, at the LR Bacolod – The Row office. The program covers the mandatory requirements for agent accreditation under the network, including document processing, code of conduct standards, and the use of the company’s digital marketing and transaction platforms.
The session walked participants through the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) registration process, the set‑up of personal agent websites, and the basic functions of the national multi‑listing system. New recruits also learned prospecting scripts, client handling protocols, and how to access mentorship from experienced unit managers.
A prerequisite for full accreditation
The starter kit is a mandatory step for every new salesperson entering the Filipinohomes network. Without completing the program, agents are not eligible for full accreditation, which bars them from transacting properties listed under the company’s developer partners. The May 9 class at The Row drew around 40 participants, according to an internal count, representing the first batch of trainees to complete the requirement after the Bacolod branch’s recent 300‑agent wealth seminar on May 6.
In the weeks leading to the starter kit session, the Bacolod office had already hosted a series of preparatory events: a contract signing by Team Red Diamonds (April 23), the CEO’s evening leadership meeting (May 5), the opening of the 142nd office at Burgos‑Lacson Street (May 6), a 300‑agent “Build Wealth in Real Estate” seminar at Ayala Central Hall (May 6), a 45‑person dinner meeting at L Fisher Hotel (May 6), and multiple contract signings in the following days. The starter kit session is designed to convert that orientation‑level interest into fully accredited, field‑ready salespersons.
Why Bacolod’s tourism, heritage drive 2026 real estate demand
While residential inventories and infrastructure remain central to Bacolod’s growth, the city’s current calendar of sports and cultural events is generating additional waves of visitor arrivals, directly benefiting short‑term rental properties and well‑positioned residential projects.
Over May 9–16, the 2026 National PRISAA Games is being staged at the Panaad Park and Sports Complex, drawing more than 12,000 delegates from 522 member‑schools across 17 regions. The event, which unfolds across 24 venues around Bacolod and neighboring towns, includes 22 sports, three cultural categories (Vocal Solo & Duet, PRISAAYAWAN, Mutya ng PRISA), and two academic competitions. Organizers have partnered with the city government, the provincial government of Negros Occidental, the Commission on Higher Education, the Department of Education, and the Philippine Sports Commission to manage transport, billeting, and security. The influx of athletes, coaches, officials, and parents has lifted hotel occupancy and increased traffic to restaurants and retail strips.
At the same time, the Philippine Sports Commission and Bacolod City signed a memorandum of agreement on May 9 for the Batang Pinoy 2026, scheduled for December 12‑18. Athletes aged 8 to 15 are expected to bring accompanying family members, potentially swelling the arrival count to an estimated 45,000 delegates. Each of these stays fuels demand for short‑term rentals, transient homes, and investor‑grade condominiums located near the Lacson Street tourism corridor and Panaad Park.
On the heritage front, the Capitol Culture Hub Guided Walking Tour continues every Thursday in May (7, 14, 21, 28) with 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. schedules. The free tour explores the Capitol Lagoon Park and the Capitol Building, constructed in 1927–1933 during the American colonial period. Guides highlight the “Lady and the Carabao” statue by Italian sculptor Francesco Riccardo Monti, the “Man and the Beast of Burden” monument by local artist Felix V. Garzon, the “Paghimud‑os” tribute to Negrense resilience, and the Negros Victory Day Marker. The tour draws cultural tourists and history enthusiasts, some of whom extend their visits and seek short‑term housing.
Bacolod started a new Pasalidahon (“market day”) at the Bacolod Government Center grounds on May 3, 2026. The weekend market, which will be held every Sunday thereafter, showcases local products, food items, arts and crafts, and specialty goods. The market injects regular foot traffic into the area surrounding the Government Center, a zone that has seen increased interest for residential and mixed‑use projects.
Strengthening the local sales force
Graduates of the May 9 starter kit session will be matched with unit managers for field training. They gain access to the company’s developer partners, including Suntrust Properties Inc., SM Development Corp., and PHINMA Properties – all of which are advancing projects in Bacolod’s North District, Parkville, and The Sugartown. By meeting the starter kit requirement, the batch can now transact properties listed under the Filipinohomes network and begin earning commissions.
With Bacolod currently hosting the PRISAA Games, preparing for Batang Pinoy, and attracting heritage and market‑day visitors, the demand for investor‑ready residential units is rising. The May 9 starter kit session ensures that a fresh pool of accredited agents is ready to help home seekers and investors navigate Bacolod’s evolving real estate landscape, supported by the full resources of the country’s largest real estate network.
