Filipinohomes CEO Anthony Leuterio was warmly welcomed in General Santos City as the network expands its Mindanao footprint. The city, a growing real estate hub, is seeing major investments, including a ₱5.3‑billion PHirst housing project and a ₱2.3‑billion public market redevelopment.
GENERAL SANTOS CITY – The local team of Filipinohomes gave a warm welcome to founder and CEO Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio upon his arrival in General Santos City, marking another strategic stop in the network’s ongoing expansion across Mindanao.
The welcome, captured in a celebratory banner reading “Welcome to Gensan, Boss Anthony Orais Leuterio,” underscores the growing importance of General Santos City as a real estate hub in the region. Leuterio, a 2024 International Realtor of the Year awardee, has been crisscrossing the country to oversee training sessions, contract signings, and site inspections as Filipinohomes pushes toward its goal of 150 branches nationwide.
Why General Santos City is a priority
General Santos City, widely known as the “Tuna Capital of the Philippines,” has emerged as one of Mindanao’s most dynamic real estate markets. The city recorded ₱376 million in business permit renewal revenues in early 2026, a significant increase from ₱326 million in the previous year, reflecting robust local economic activity. Major infrastructure projects are also reshaping the city’s landscape. The ₱2.3‑billion redevelopment of the Central Public Market into “Palengke Heneral,” a modern solar‑powered commercial complex, is underway through a public‑private partnership with Robinsons Land Corp. A Japanese firm has also expressed interest in building a $1.2‑billion AI‑powered global air cargo hub at General Santos International Airport, a project expected to generate over 4,500 jobs.
The influx of major developers further validates General Santos City’s investment potential. Century Properties Group’s affordable housing brand, PHirst, is making its Mindanao debut with a ₱5.3‑billion project in Barangay Baluan. The 23.7‑hectare PHirst Park Homes Gen San will deliver over 2,400 residential units, featuring Amani and Dua house models priced from ₱1.8 million to ₱2.8 million. The project includes amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, basketball court, and a WiFi node. “General Santos City reflects the economic momentum we see across Mindanao,” PHirst President Ricky Celis said during the project’s launch. “The region offers strong fundamentals — available land, improving infrastructure, and industries that continue to generate jobs and entrepreneurship.”
Filipinohomes, the country’s largest real estate network, has been actively building its presence in the city. The company’s growing local team, part of a nationwide network of over 35,000 agents, provides buyers and investors with access to a wide range of property options, from affordable housing to premium residential developments. Leuterio’s visit is expected to include meetings with local team leaders, site inspections, and strategic planning sessions aimed at strengthening the network’s foothold in South Cotabato and the broader Soccsksargen region.
As General Santos City continues to attract investment and development, Filipinohomes is positioning itself to help meet the growing demand for quality housing and professional real estate services in one of Mindanao’s most promising growth centers.
