Rent.ph trained Gensan agents in rental management on August 19 at Horizon Suites, covering dynamic pricing and portfolio scaling to boost professionalism in the local market.
GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Rent.ph, the country's leading property rental platform, brought its Masterclass 2026 to General Santos City on August 19, 2026, at Horizon Suites and Arcade. The session trained a new wave of agents in professional property management and rental portfolio scaling.
Industry Leaders Lead the Session
The masterclass was led by Rent.ph founder Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio, who is also the founder and CEO of Filipinohomes, and Chief Operating Officer May Antonette P. Leuterio, who serves as Rent.ph's Managing Director. They were joined by the full Rent.ph leadership team.
The team's presence underscored the platform's commitment to professionalizing rental management across the country. The Gensan session marked another stop in the nationwide Masterclass 2026 series that has already trained agents in Palawan, Manila, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro.
The masterclass moved beyond basic listing tips, focusing on practical, data-driven strategies for maximizing rental income. Speakers rotated through modules on guest communication, dynamic pricing, inventory turnover, and platform-specific optimization. Participants analyzed real General Santos City data to make informed decisions.
A recurring theme was professionalism. Leuterio stressed that proper property management separates a vacant unit from a reliable income stream. The message was reinforced with practical tools: updated dashboards, a crisis-handling cheat sheet, and direct access to regional support teams. The platform now has more than 4,500 trained rental managers overseeing thousands of residential units nationwide.
The timing of the masterclass aligns with strong market signals in the city. General Santos City has emerged as a key growth area for real estate, driven by major infrastructure projects and a robust local economy. The city recorded ₱376 million in business permit renewal revenues in early 2026, a 15.3 percent increase from the previous year, reflecting robust local economic activity.
Major residential projects are reshaping the local market. PHirst Park Homes Gen San, a ₱5.3-billion, 23.7-hectare development in Barangay Baluan, continues to attract first-time homebuyers. The national government's Expanded 4PH Program is also active in the city, with Deca Homes Gensan 2 offering 7,430 house-and-lot units under Pag-IBIG's subsidized loan program.
The Gensan session is part of a nationwide Masterclass 2026 series that has trained agents across multiple regions. The Palawan event on June 10 drew a full house at Hue Hotels and Resorts, followed by the Manila session on June 11 at TRYP by Wyndham Mall of Asia. Recent sessions included a Bacolod Property Rental Training on July 1 and a Masterclass in Iloilo on July 14.
The platform has also expanded its reach through strategic partnerships, including a recent collaboration with SMDC Good Stays to market approximately 90,000 condominium units nationwide. A contract signing with WeeComm for Intalio Flats Primea in Cagayan de Oro further solidified its presence in Mindanao.
For the participants who attended the August 19 session, the masterclass provided a competitive edge in navigating General Santos City's evolving rental market. Graduates of the session are now listed in Rent.ph's database of certified managers, giving them immediate visibility to property owners searching for reliable help. They also gain access to a network of support, including digital tools for listing, booking, and payment processing.
As Rent.ph continues to expand its nationwide footprint, events like the August 19 Masterclass ensure that Filipino agents remain equipped to serve a growing pool of property owners and tenants. The session reflects the platform's commitment to professionalizing property management and its recognition that well-trained rent managers are essential to capturing opportunities in one of the country's fastest-growing property markets.
