ILOILO CITY – Filipinohomes has reinforced its presence in Western Visayas through a contract signing held on April 21, 2026, at the company's Iloilo office. The signing formalized the affiliation of a new team under the Filipinohomes network, adding to the group's growing roster of real estate professionals in the region.
The contract signing grants the newly affiliated team access to Filipinohomes' national property database, developer partnerships, training resources, and agent support systems. Filipinohomes, which currently operates over 35,000 agents nationwide, has been actively expanding in key provincial growth centers as part of its push toward 150 branches.
Iloilo: A 2026 real estate hub
The signing comes as Iloilo City continues to emerge as a significant real estate market outside Metro Manila. Industry reports have identified Iloilo as one of the country's active business hubs alongside Cebu and Pampanga. Western Visayas is also a core growth market for major developers, with SM Development Corporation (SMDC) positioning the region as one of its key expansion areas, backed by approximately 4,000 residential units projected for turnover in 2026 and over 150 hectares of future development land.
Iloilo City's infrastructure and tourism sectors are likewise seeing robust investment. The city has secured approximately $2.54 million (P150 million) for heritage plaza redevelopment and allocated P17.6 million over five years to strengthen its Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) capabilities. These investments are part of a broader push to elevate Iloilo as a premier business and cultural destination.
On the provincial level, the Iloilo government approved a ₱6.88 billion budget for 2026, funding flagship development programs under "MoRProGRes Iloilo," which covers quality health and social services, economic growth, food security, resilient infrastructure, and environmental protection.
The intensified real estate activity in Iloilo is supported by strong economic fundamentals. As of 2026, the city offers over 5,100 hotel rooms and meeting spaces capable of accommodating up to 25,000 delegates, positioning it as a competitive destination for regional and international events. The growing MICE sector, combined with rising tourism and infrastructure development, continues to drive demand for residential and commercial properties.
With the contract signing completed, the newly affiliated team will undergo onboarding, including training on Filipinohomes' multi-listing platform and integration with the network's developer partners. For Filipinohomes, the signing reinforces its commitment to building a stable, long-term presence in Iloilo as it pushes toward its goal of 150 branches nationwide.
