ILOILO CITY – Filipinohomes and Wee Community Developers Inc. (WeeComm) held a “New Agent Meet-Up & Kamustahan” on April 29, 2026, at the network’s Iloilo office located at 2/F Dona Maria Building along Cor San Juan and Avanceña Streets in the Molo district. The afternoon session, which began at 1:00 PM, welcomed fresh recruits, aligned them with WeeComm’s “Beyond Ordinary” projects, and reinforced strategies as Iloilo emerges as Western Visayas’ fastest-growing economy.
The event provided a platform for newly recruited agents to interact directly with WeeComm representatives, ask questions about ongoing developments, and gain a deeper understanding of the projects they will be marketing.
Partnership with WeeComm
WeeComm, established in 2008, is a development company built on the philosophy that project development should be driven by client satisfaction, not solely by profit. The company has made its mark across the Philippines with “Beyond Ordinary” projects in Metro Manila, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro. In Iloilo, WeeComm partnered with local firm Iloilo South Prime Developers Inc. to launch Emerald Estates in Oton, a horizontal subdivision designed to create a community that harmonizes with nature. At the meet-up, new agents were given an update on the project’s status and its value proposition for homebuyers looking for affordable yet quality homes in the province.
The meet-up comes as Iloilo City solidifies its position as Western Visayas’ fastest‑growing economy, fueled by a vibrant retail trade industry that continues to boost its gross domestic product. The city’s Mandurriao district now hosts over ₱35 billion in completed mixed‑use development value, with branded hotels opening, convention centers filling, and residential towers rising in parallel. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, Western Visayas achieved a Gross Domestic Regional Product of ₱683.44 billion in 2025, growing by 6.4 percent – significantly outpacing the national average of 4.4 percent.
SM Development Corporation (SMDC) is strengthening its Western Visayas presence, with approximately 3,800 to 4,000 units lined up for turnover in 2026. This includes around 1,900 units at Glade Residences beginning April 2026 and close to 1,000 units at the fully sold Style Residences in Iloilo. SMDC now operates a 300‑square‑meter Iloilo CBD office handling sales processing and customer support, reducing reliance on Manila‑based coordination. Megaworld, meanwhile, is expanding its Iloilo Business Park with new residential towers and a third hotel, Belmont Hotel Iloilo, adding 405 rooms to its hospitality portfolio.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast‑tracking critical infrastructure in Iloilo. The northbound lane of the Aganan Flyover, leading toward Iloilo International Airport, is targeted to open in December 2026, with the southbound portion scheduled for completion by February 2027. Beyond the flyover, the 2026 budget includes allocations for other major connectors such as the Buot-Taop Bridge in Cebu City, the Oyungan Bridge in Iloilo, and the Tubod‑Nabuna Bridge in Misamis Occidental. These projects are aimed at decongesting traffic, reducing fuel costs for motorists, and improving access to the province’s economic zones.
On January 6, 2026, President Marcos approved Proclamation No. 1128, establishing the Atria Gardens IT Park in Iloilo City’s Mandurriao District. The new ecozone is projected to attract ₱550 million in investments and create 2,200 jobs in the information technology and business process services sectors. A larger workforce typically translates into higher demand for rental housing and starter homes, benefiting new agents with fresh inventory to offer.
The city’s housing program is also gaining scale. The city government has acquired approximately 15 hectares of land for housing projects, with six projects currently under construction in addition to KaUswagan Residences, a 120‑unit socialized housing project turned over by SMDC in 2024. The Uswag 4PH Condominium Complex, a ₱2.54‑billion affordable housing project in Barangay San Isidro, will consist of 13 ten‑storey buildings with 1,677 residential units under the national Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program. These developments provide a steady pipeline of listings for new agents.
The April 29 meet-up was part of Filipinohomes’ ongoing initiative to onboard and support new sales professionals in key provincial growth centers. Participants left with a clearer understanding of WeeComm’s product offerings, upcoming project launches, and financing options. They also gained insights into how to effectively position WeeComm’s projects within Iloilo’s competitive real estate landscape.
For the newest batch of Filipinohomes agents in Iloilo, the session was more than an introduction – it was a strategic alignment between the country’s largest real estate network and a developer committed to building communities around client satisfaction. With WeeComm’s pipeline of projects and Iloilo’s accelerating economy as a backdrop, the new recruits are now positioned to help meet the rising demand for quality and affordable housing in one of the Visayas’ most dynamic property markets.
