A separate batch of aspiring real estate professionals completed a New Agents Orientation at the Filipinohomes Iloilo office on May 22, 2026. The session, distinct from the day’s team building activity, equipped participants with sales fundamentals as Iloilo’s office market overtakes Cebu and a green tunnel project breaks ground.
ILOILO CITY – Filipinohomes continued to expand its sales force in Western Visayas on May 22, 2026, conducting a New Agents Orientation at its Iloilo office for a fresh batch of aspiring real estate professionals. The session, which drew a different group of recruits from the one that took part in a team‑building activity on the same day, was designed for individuals with no prior industry experience.
Participants were introduced to prospecting techniques, client handling protocols, digital marketing tools, and the step‑by‑step process for earning a first six‑figure commission. The training also covered how to access Filipinohomes’ national multi‑listing platform and complete accreditation requirements with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Recent Filipinohomes momentum in Iloilo
The May 22 orientation follows a series of Filipinohomes activities in Iloilo in the first half of May. On May 5, founder and CEO Anthony Leuterio led a sold‑out “Build Wealth in Real Estate” seminar at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel. On May 4, Iloilo and Bacolod teams met at the Iloilo office for joint strategic planning, aligning sales approaches ahead of the CEO‑led event. Earlier this month, Filipinohomes agents also toured WeeComm’s Southprime Flats in Mandurriao as part of a site visit that sharpened their product knowledge. The recruitment of a new batch of agents adds to that momentum, bringing fresh salespersons into the network’s Iloilo pipeline.
Iloilo City is positioning itself as a regional hub for sports, culture, and sustainable infrastructure – developments that directly benefit residential and commercial property markets.
P2‑billion sports‑cultural mega hub – Iloilo is moving closer to becoming Western Visayas’ premier destination for large‑scale events. Uswag Ilonggo Party‑list Rep. James Ang and Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. are fast‑tracking the proposed Regional Sports Facilities and Events Center alongside a Regional Cultural Center. The facility is envisioned to accommodate 15,000 to 20,000 people and host regional and national sporting competitions, conventions, exhibitions, and concerts. Ang has secured a P1‑billion funding commitment in 2025, and discussions are ongoing to secure donated land to reduce government expenditure. The project is expected to boost tourism, attract investments, and generate employment.
P74‑million green tunnel underway – The Iloilo City Government and the Department of Transportation broke ground on May 11, 2026, for an urban shading or “green tunnel” along Diversion Road in Mandurriao. Funded entirely by the national government, the project includes 378 linear meters of shading at Site I and 352 linear meters at Site II, plus End‑of‑Trip cycling facilities with secure bicycle parking, showers, changing rooms, and lockers. Iloilo is only the second city in the country to receive this project, following Marikina City. The initiative aims to create a cooler, greener, and more walkable and bike‑friendly corridor, enhancing urban aesthetics and climate resilience.
Living Heritage Museum Tour launched – Spearheaded by the Iloilo City MICE Alliance, the Living Heritage Museum Tour commenced on May 8, 2026, covering 10 heritage sites including the Loreto Ledesma Ancestral House, Casa Mariquit, Avanceña‑Camiña Balay na Bato, and the Museum of Philippine Maritime History. Mayor Raisa Treñas noted that some homeowners are opening their ancestral houses to guests for the first time. The tour is part of Iloilo’s bid to host the Philippine MICE Conference (MICECON) 2027, competing against Cebu and Boracay.
UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy – Iloilo remains the country’s only UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, a title that continues to attract food tourists and support the local hospitality industry.
Strengthening the local sales force
For the new agents who completed the May 22 orientation, the next steps include being paired with unit managers for field training and gaining access to Filipinohomes’ national property database and developer partners such as Megaworld and WeeComm. The session also introduced them to the network’s digital training resources, which complement in‑person coaching.
With a P2‑billion sports‑cultural mega hub moving forward, a P74‑million green tunnel under construction, and a heritage museum tour drawing visitors, Iloilo’s real estate market offers multiple entry points for first‑time buyers and investors. The May 22 orientation positions a fresh batch of agents to help meet rising demand for quality housing and investment properties, backed by the full resources of the country’s largest real estate network.
