Updated Apr 28, 2026

Starlight Team formalized its partnership with Filipinohomes through a contract signing on April 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the network’s Dumaguete office. The event adds another active team to the growing roster in Negros Oriental, where safety recognition, infrastructure projects, and rising property values continue to drive real estate demand.
DUMAGUETE CITY – Starlight Team formalized its affiliation with Filipinohomes through a contract signing held on April 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the network’s Dumaguete office. The signing grants the team’s unit managers and salespersons full access to Filipinohomes’ national property database, developer partnerships, training resources, and administrative support systems.
The event follows a series of contract signings in Dumaguete this month, including Team X-Factor (April 24), Team StarShooters (April 23), Team A (April 21), and Team LR Direct (April 21). The back‑to‑back signings underscore Filipinohomes’ aggressive push to build a strong, professionally accredited sales force in Negros Oriental.
Why Dumaguete Remains a Real Estate Hub
Dumaguete’s property market has gained significant momentum, underpinned by a combination of safety recognition, infrastructure development, and sustained tourism growth. The city was recently named the #1 Safest City to Visit in the Philippines for 2026 by the World Travel Index, with a safety rating of 82.28 percent. The accolade has boosted investor confidence and attracted interest from both local and international buyers.
House prices in Dumaguete now average roughly ₱71,500 per square meter, with condominiums commanding a roughly 45 percent premium over Bacolod house‑and‑lot properties. Across Negros Island, property values are expected to climb 4 to 7 percent in 2026, with condominiums leading at 6 to 9 percent appreciation. The city’s compact urban core and steady expat demand have made it a competitive market for both end‑users and investors.
Infrastructure and Tourism Driving Growth
Major infrastructure projects are reshaping the province’s accessibility. The national government has allocated ₱2.5 billion under the 2026 General Appropriations Act for the new Dumaguete airport in neighboring Bacong town. The ongoing construction of the ₱17‑billion airport, funded through South Korea’s official development assistance, will replace the existing Dumaguete‑Sibulan Airport, which currently handles around 800,000 passengers annually. The new airport is expected to significantly boost connectivity and attract more visitors and investors to the province.
Tourism figures are trending upward. Negros Oriental logged 954,344 tourists in 2025, up by 15.22 percent from 2024, with the Provincial Tourism Office targeting 1 million arrivals for 2026. The Coast Guard has anticipated an influx of tourists via the Dumaguete port, further supporting the local economy and real estate demand.
Local infrastructure projects are also advancing. Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has allocated ₱60 million for wastewater treatment facilities along Rizal Boulevard and other waterways, and ₱31.5 million for additional septage hauling trucks. The ongoing shoreline protection project on the south end of Rizal Boulevard is on track to protect homes and establishments from big waves and storm surges while providing additional spaces for sports and recreation.
A Growing Real Estate Community in Dumaguete
For Starlight Team, the contract signing marks the official start of its journey within the Filipinohomes ecosystem. The team will undergo onboarding, including training on the network’s multi‑listing platform and integration with developer partners such as BE Residences and other major players operating in the province. With access to Filipinohomes’ nationwide referral network and developer partnerships, Starlight Team is now positioned to serve a growing pool of buyers and investors in Dumaguete and surrounding areas.
