Team Tycoons formalized its affiliate partnership at the Filipinohomes Cagayan de Oro office on May 6, 2026. The ceremony comes as CDO posts 6.8% GDP growth, Megaworld and Pueblo de Oro advance their township projects, and the national 4PH program expands affordable housing in Northern Mindanao.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Team Tycoons formalized its affiliate partnership with Filipinohomes through a contract signing at the network's Cagayan de Oro office on May 6, 2026. The ceremony granted the team's unit managers and salespersons full access to the network's national property database, developer partnerships, training resources, and administrative support systems.
Recent Filipinohomes momentum in CDO
The signing follows a series of Filipinohomes activities in Cagayan de Oro over the past two weeks. On April 14, the network held a Real Estate Opportunity Presentation and Product Knowledge Seminar with Taft Properties at its CDO office. On April 16, founder and CEO Anthony Leuterio arrived in the city for a strategic visit, followed by an evening leaders and unit managers meeting. On April 17, Filipinohomes conducted a New Agents Orientation at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, drawing dozens of aspiring real estate professionals, followed by a Top Sellers and Unit Managers meeting with the CEO. These back‑to‑back events built momentum that Team Tycoons now joins.
The signing comes as Cagayan de Oro cements its status as Northern Mindanao's premier economic hub. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the city posted a 6.8 percent GDP growth in 2024, faster than the 5.7 percent growth in the previous year, accounting for 28.3 percent of Northern Mindanao's total economic output. London‑based think tank Oxford Economics identified the city as the sixth‑largest urban economy in the Philippines, driven by trade, services, education, real estate, logistics, and infrastructure development.
Major developers are scaling up their commitments in the city. Megaworld Corp. has allocated ₱65 billion in capital expenditures for 2026, with Cagayan de Oro among its priority growth areas. The company is set to start land development for Upper Central, its township project in the city, and will launch a new residential project in Cagayan de Oro as part of its 19‑project nationwide pipeline.
Pueblo de Oro Corp. is also advancing its pipeline. The developer is building Southridge, a 31‑hectare mixed‑use township envisioned as a "Silicon Valley‑type" community featuring office spaces, BPO facilities, residential units, leisure areas, and retail components. The masterplan, designed by global firm Arcadis, includes a 5.7‑hectare residential enclave with lots ranging from 250 to 400 square meters, a clubhouse, swimming pool, and multi‑purpose courts. Pueblo de Oro is likewise developing Masterson Mile North, a five‑tower high‑end residential complex with an estimated development cost of ₱13.5 billion, designed by San Francisco‑based architectural firm Gensler and Associates. The city council also approved the development permit for Pueblo de Oro's Familia Verde Phase 3 project, a 57,460‑square‑meter subdivision in Barangay Lumbia with 391 lots.
The national Expanded 4PH Program is also active in Northern Mindanao. Several housing projects are lined up across the region, including developments in Cagayan de Oro, Tubod, Lanao del Norte, and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. A separate partnership aims to build up to 30,000 units across Mindanao, backed by the Mindanao Development Authority and private developers. Pag‑IBIG Fund has committed to maintaining its 3 percent annual interest rate for socialized housing under the Expanded 4PH program, shielding Filipino homebuyers from global economic uncertainty.
On the infrastructure front, the Laguindingan International Airport upgrade is moving forward as a public‑private partnership with Aboitiz InfraCapital. The project aims to expand passenger capacity from 1.6 million to 3.9 million annually, with capacity expected to double to 6.1 million by 2026. The airport is the primary gateway to Northern Mindanao, serving Cagayan de Oro and nearby provinces. In addition, the city council has approved the Preliminary Subdivision Development Plan for the Cagayan de Oro Resettlement and Socialized Housing Project Phase 3 Extension in Barangay Canitoan. The P700‑million Cagayan de Oro Port Expansion Project is also underway, aimed at reducing port congestion, speeding up goods transport, and boosting regional economic activity.
For Team Tycoons, the contract signing grants its newly affiliated unit managers and salespersons full access to Filipinohomes' national property database and developer partnerships. The team will undergo onboarding, including training on the network's multi‑listing platform and integration with developer partners such as Megaworld, Pueblo de Oro, and other major players in Northern Mindanao.
With Cagayan de Oro's real estate market gaining unprecedented traction – driven by a 6.8 percent GDP growth rate, a ₱65‑billion Megaworld pipeline, a ₱13.5‑billion Pueblo de Oro residential complex, and an expanding 4PH program – the May 6 contract signing positions Team Tycoons to capture a share of this growing market, backed by the full resources of the country's largest real estate network.
