Filipinohomes CEO Anthony Leuterio inspected WeeComm’s Kalea Estates in Bacolod on September 17, reviewing progress on the 1.8-hectare affordable housing project.
BACOLOD CITY — Filipinohomes founder and CEO Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio, together with the local Bacolod team, conducted a site visit at WeeComm’s Kalea Estates in Barangay Mansilingan on September 17, 2026. The inspection assessed progress on the 1.8-hectare tropical-themed subdivision as the developer ramps up its Western Visayas expansion.
A Hands-On Look at Kalea Estates
The on-the-ground assessment allowed network leadership and Bacolod agents to review site progress, housing layouts, and community infrastructure. WeeComm is advancing the project for young families and first-time homebuyers seeking affordable options in a growing corridor.
Kalea Estates blends tropical elegance with modern comfort through what WeeComm calls Vernacular Architecture. This design approach reflects the region’s environment and resources, grounding the community in Filipino culture. The name Kalea is Hawaiian for joy or happiness.
The subdivision offers open green spaces and flexible layouts suited to post-pandemic living. Floor plans and financing options are tied to Pag-IBIG’s subsidized 3-percent interest rate under the Expanded 4PH Program. Affordability remains a key selling point for Bacolod’s first-time buyers and returning overseas Filipino workers.
WeeComm’s Beyond Ordinary Philosophy
WeeComm has built a reputation for delivering communities that exceed standard housing. Founded in 2008 with the support of Security Bank, the company has grown into one of the country’s largest developers. It now has over 110,000 residential units across 27 completed and upcoming properties in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The developer’s Beyond Ordinary philosophy emphasizes lower-density projects, thoughtful design, and community-building. Kalea Estates represents a strategic addition to WeeComm’s Western Visayas portfolio, which also includes Southprime Flats in Iloilo City. Its presence in Bacolod complements expanding footprints in Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and Cavite.
Building on Recent Momentum
The September 17 site visit follows a series of WeeComm-focused engagements across the Filipinohomes network. On September 16, the network conducted a Zoom product knowledge seminar spotlighting Emerald Estates in Oton and Southprime Flats in Mandurriao. On September 9, a similar virtual session drew over 20 agents.
On August 19, Filipinohomes Bacolod agents gathered for a WeeComm seminar covering the Aloha and Ohana single-attached models. On August 12, Iloilo agents completed a session on site development at Emerald Estates. Earlier, on July 13, Team A Diamond mastered Kalea Estates during a product knowledge seminar in Bacolod.
These back-to-back activities reflect sustained investment in agent development. By personally inspecting Kalea Estates with the Bacolod team, Leuterio ensured agents have accurate, up-to-date information to present to buyers as the year enters its final quarter.
Bacolod’s Thriving Residential Market
The site inspection unfolded against a backdrop of strong growth in Bacolod’s property landscape. Major developers are advancing multi-billion-peso projects across Negros Occidental. PHINMA Properties is developing Saludad, a 21-hectare master-planned township in the city’s North District.
The city’s economy grew by 4.9 percent in 2025, with a GDP of ₱146.09 billion. This sustained economic momentum creates demand for affordable and mid-range housing. Filipinohomes and WeeComm are positioned to capture a growing share of this expanding market.
Strengthening the Partnership
For Filipinohomes, the site visit reinforced its hands-on approach to developer partnerships. With WeeComm’s expanding portfolio and Bacolod’s thriving market, the collaboration is positioned for continued growth. The inspection marked another step in bringing quality, affordable homes closer to Filipino families in Western Visayas.
